MODIFICATION: Lowering / Suspension

Lowering Day
Lowering Day

POSTED BY: Shaun Cameron -- 11/20/04

To compliment the new Axis rims, I couldn't help but to grace my car with a set of Ground Control Coil Over lowering springs and a brand new set of KYB GR2 Struts while I was at it.

On top of all of the above, both the driver side and passenger side CV Joints needed a little work. Replaced. No more clicks on heavy turns, finally.

Ride quality wise, with the combination of the 19 inch rims, Nitto tires, adjustable Coil Overs, and new KYB Struts, I couldn't be happier. It is a lot better than I expected it would be. In combination with the Ultimate Performance front and rear strut bars that I've had on there for awhile, I feel the confidence that I've been seeking on some of the most twisted roads that I've tested. Its a great thing.

You know how it goes "Hi, my name is Shaun, and I'm a mod-o-holic."

MODIFICATION: New Rims/Tires

New Rims/Tires
New Rims/Tires

POSTED BY: Shaun Cameron -- 11/19/04

The winter modifications are definitely in full force. After searching for a set of rims that I truly like, I found a set that I couldn't pass up. Enter the brand new set of: Axis Se7en (silver) 19in Rims, and Nitto 555 Extreme Performance Street Tires. Giving credit where credit is due, I thank Ryan for the suggestion on this amazing combination. The ride quality/road noise is surprisingly good for 19 inch rims, and the Nitto tires seem to be doing a great job with the rainy Northwest weather. Along with the upcoming few other suspension modifications, I think I'll be set in the handling department for awhile.

Portland Fog 04
Portland Fog '04

POSTED BY: Shaun Cameron -- 11/12/04

Nights like this are far and few between around here. An endless abyss of fog stretched across Portland today to make for one "out of this world" photoshoot.

On the way to a stage play with a friend (yeah fool, I go to plays!) we ended up passing a few parking lots and school fields that looked quite exceptional. With the multiple high school football games, etc happening on a Friday night, the field lights really helped intensify things.

Fortunately I had my camera with me, and here are the results. Enjoy.

MODIFICATION: Polished Plenum

Polished Plenum
"Bling"

POSTED BY: Shaun Cameron -- 11/11/04

To go along with the candy-blue powder coated front valve cover and radiator brackets, as well as the polished intake arm, polished radiator pipe, and various other "bling" engine bay parts, I finally ended up finding a quality polished plenum.

Very satisfied now - the stock plenum was an absolute eye soar. The difference is night/day, especially when it comes to the overall appearance of the engine-bay.

"Victory Salute"

POSTED BY: Shaun Cameron -- 11/03/04

I guess President Bush's "Four More Years!" slogan paid off after all. To celebrate my joy of no longer having political commercials being shoved down my throat during my favorirte TV shows, I bring you this short little clip of America's favorite President.
